    Run Free Day

I got a short trail run in yesterday in honor of one of my heroes, Micah True aka El Caballo Blanco. He was one of the central figures in the book Born to Run. On Run Free Day, I get out and just run. No watches, no music, no GPS. Just enjoy the day, the trail and all nature has to offer.

Yesterday was the fifth anniversary of his death. Also, we were born in the same year and I am about 6 months older than him. Since learning about him, he has always been an inspiration, not only for his running, but the way he lived.

Later in the day I watched a movie on his life, Run Free, the true story of El Caballo Blanco

It always makes me appreciate that I can still run. And try to be a better person.

@bob1623 I read "Born to Run" too and love it!
But the one that I keep going back when I need an inspiration to run is this one : What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami

You can type any date in plain English like in 3 weeks or next month.
You can also type in recurring due date like every day, every week and every month.
