    Two important pieces of news:

    1. Our first book is up for sale.

    2. I need to treat myself better so I don't die 🙂

Today Mr. D made me call my doctor about the heart palpitations I've been getting. I haven't really been thinking about them that much. After I got off the phone with the doc, I realized I'd accidentally lied. I said it lasts a few minutes -- it lasts about an hour, a few times a day. When he asked, I said I hadn't been drinking much coffee. I've been drinking massive amounts and I'm dehydrated. I've just barely been paying attention to what I'm doing to my own body.

It's not normal to have a racing heartbeat for long periods of time every day, and it's not normal to barely be aware of it. I need to cut back on my hours and worrying now.

The stupid thing is, I've worked like this before (at an agency), and I swore I'd never do it again!

I'm going to stop working at 7 pm at night and not work on weekends, I'm going to drink water, and I'm going to get lots of sleep, and we'll see how that goes.

@BeingBryn Take care of yourself! At the least it sounds like anxiety and stress. You are too awesome to not be nice to yourself!

@missak Oh thank you so much for the kind words! I am working fewer hours, drinking coffee, getting more sleep...and I am already feeling better. I got a heart monitor from my doctor to wear for a couple of days to make sure I am okay. But I am feeling better already.

This continues to be a challenge! Who knew that startups were hard, right? Hahaha.

The great news is that I have a lot of support. I met with my boss in L.A. last week and I was really honest about how I was feeling. He could not have been any more helpful or understanding! It looks like I probably am going to get more help next year. He gave me a lot of good advice. He also said I should feel free to loop him in more when I run into snags, and that I could call him if I was really feeling low. Honestly, I knew I'd feel so much better after talking to him face to face, and I did.

I was just talking to a new friend who's been involved in a couple of startups in India...she had such a bad experience with her last boss. So I know how lucky I am.

Being in a different city from everyone I work with will always be a hindrance. My boss recommended that I pick up the phone more, which goes against my grain a little, haha, but of course he's totally right! Sometimes it's a lot better than email. Plus, that way even if there's some confusion or disagreement. people can hear in my voice that I have good intentions and I like them.

    Guys. This new venture.

I've been feeling so demoralized. It's a lot of work, of course, and a lot of responsibility. I'm the only person working on it full time, and everyone else is in another city. In the past month or so, it's been a serious challenge to my happiness and mental health, and I can't let that continue.

The workload is too heavy for one person. Even if I did nothing but sleep and work, I couldn't get it all done, and I'm not willing to give up a life outside of work.

I've asked my boss for part-time help, and we'll see what he says tomorrow. Either way, I realize that I have to stay more balanced and not let worries about the business overwhelm me.

@BeingBryn I hear you. Hang in there. I'm going through something similar at the moment. Having trouble paying my taxes. Not bringing in enough cash. Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, but you will reap the benefits of going your own way in time. I hope you stick with it!

@garrin Oh, I appreciate that so much! And I'm sorry to hear you're having some struggles, too, but you're so right...entrepreneurship is tough, and we've got to hang in there!

This is a huge challenge. A couple of my product release dates have been pushed back because they aren't going to be ready yet. I try to keep a positive attitude even when I run into setbacks. There are a lot of exciting things happening, too. 🙂

@BeingBryn this is exciting!! There was a study done of people who put in massive amount of hours for another company, while they liked their job it was not the level of satisfaction as someone who put in the same hours for their own business. How absolutely lovely you went for this!

My new business is officially launched now! The response to it in the industry has been very positive.

Honestly, it's a crazy amount of work, but it's also really satisfying.

The first product releases are a challenge. They were on such a tight time frame, and I'm working with people I've never worked with before. But all I can do is do my best. 🙂 I've drawn up a marketing plan, and I'm meeting with people next week to take about implementing it.

I've been MIA on this site, which I regret -- I love it here! But this goal is really why. I am finally getting my head above water again!

My new business will officially be announced in late July, and it is well underway already. It's been a big learning curve as I work with new people who I am getting to know. I never thought I'd do something like this, and I'm very excited!

A dream to grow, to reach to people, to roam many countries, to help people grow, give interviews and conferences. Everything asks for success. Achievements can be only accomplished when dreams are fulfilled.

Making my dream come true with my business.

    Soon write about it.

This is pretty big news for me... 🙂

One of my 2017 resolutions is "Achieve new levels of brilliance in my career," which is open-ended so that I can accomplish it in different ways. But when I saw that 2 other people had this specific goal, I figured I might as well be specific, too.

I pitched a new business venture to a company. I put my heart into the idea for more than a year. And now it looks like it's happening! I just had meetings in L.A. to talk to people about the plans, and everything seems good.

I've always, always wanted an opportunity like this, and I'm so excited. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that everything progresses smoothly and we can be open for business by this summer.

I just launched a business on Amazon that is a pet vitamin supplement. I need to get sales rolling in to determine if this is a telecommuting business that can support me.
