By keeping to our budget I was able to pay an extra $150 on my credit card. Slowly it's getting paid off.

Got my pay for my new position. It's about 400 less a month as I'm working 30 hours a week instead of 35. However, even with my cheque being less and my wife's being lower than normal (she was sick and doesn't get paid sick days) I still managed to budget and pay and extra 300 on the credit card. Means tightening up our spending in other areas, but it's doable. We just really need to stick to our budge.

Slowly but surely. I've managed to put a bit extra each month on the credit card so it's getting there. With my new position being part time (30 hours a week) I'm expecting my paycheque to go down, so I'll have to see how much will be left to pay down the Visa. Once that's payed off then I'll tackle the line of credit.

As soon as I feel like we're getting ahead a bit something jumps up and pushes us back. Both my wife and I needed new glasses and because they are progressives that's over $700 ea. Oh well, at least we had enough on our card to cover it. Starting over with paying down the credit card though.

Did my budget for the next two weeks and had $400 extra I put on my credit card. Slowly it's going down and I'm not having to sacrifice a whole lot to find the extra money.

I have a credit card and line of credit debt that I want paid off within a year. Will mean less impulse shopping and sticking to the budget I set. I keep this goal as my focus then I should be able to do it.

So. This is going to end up being the thing that is a mega challenge for me this year. I'm quite used to living paycheck to paycheck even though I despise this every time it's paycheck time! And so today, without too much prompting or thinking, I happily went out and bought myself a winter coat, which despite being needed, was way overpriced. And I paid for it and walked away simultaneously happy with the jacked and unhappy with spending money. Sigh. Time to look at what I'm going to do with this. My current plan of "just don't spend anything" isn't working for me. Back to the drawing board.

Finishing up my holiday and bought two magazines at a ridiculous price. I'm recording this here because, even though in my mind, it's justified (fancy mags about business and management blah blah) in reality, if I keep doing stuff like that, I will continue to move further away from my goal. Which isn't what I wanted. Time to get real!

Currently owe a whole lot of money due to dumb debt. Just worked out that there's no way I'm paying off any of this debt by the end of the year, which is kind of grim. If I give myself a fair amount of time to do so though, I should be ok. Time to knuckle down if I want to change careers and change things in my life!

You can type any date in plain English like in 3 weeks or next month.
You can also type in recurring due date like every day, every week and every month.
