Just started Dan Brown's Inferno. Only a couple of chapters in, so need to start reading more.

    trying to read fiction.

fiction is hard. feels "unproductive." it feels like a waste of time. I know that life should be about pleasure and joy and enjoyment and fiction is part of this but i am feeling stuck like i should only read self help or textbooks or cookbooks or psychology or "useful" things not joyful things.

i am trying to compromise and read some memoir in between. i am in the middle of about 4 memoirs right now. keep getting stalled out when i hit a lull in the action. nothing seems to "grip" me these days.

@joycultivation In recent years, it has been the opposite for me. Anything self-help or learning based felt like too much, and I could only really read fiction suspense. It seems like my attention and energy are lacking in general, though.

Reading LEAN IN by Sheryl Sandberg right now. So far it is fascinating. Well researched with a personal touch at the same time. Loving it!
